ILG was founded to meet the unique legal and business needs of entrepreneurs and to exceed their expectations of what a law firm could do for them. After 21 years of law firm and in-house experience and with entrepreneurial experience in multiple startups himself, Managing attorney, Sanjiv Dhawan, decided to start his own practice to meet this need. Good legal advice didn’t need to be complicated or expensive. Clear and concise advice and guidance should actually reduce both confusion and huge legal bills. There really was no need to fear attorneys and their bills so Sanjiv decided to bridge the trust gap. What had worked before in his business building experience with solid and fundamental legal and business strategies could and would work again for innovative companies with solid ideas led by good management teams.   The work of the ILG team has bridged the trust gap resulting in solid relationships with clients who are providing innovative products and services that really are changing the status quo.

Since ILG’s inception, we have continually looked for new and creative ways to give back to the communities we live in.  We have focused our contributions of time and money to more traditional organizations such as the American Heart Association, Glide Memorial Free Food Program, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Team in Training, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Bay Area Special Olympics,  to lesser known organizations like Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation, REACH Youth Scholarship and Think Together Inc.  Although we have made a broad range of contributions, we maintain a special emphasis on youth-related programs that encourage and educate our future leaders. We encourage community involvement among our team members believing that “giving back” is a critical part of who we are.
